Taos MEN seeking female mentors for girls

Taos MEN is looking for women.

Mentorship organization Taos Men Engaged in Nonviolence has expanded its mentoring program of boys to include girls, program coordinator Baleria Polanco told The Taos News last week.

“We started in spring 2009. The teachers and counselors were asking about a program for girls,” Polanco said Thursday (Sept. 29). “We potentially have eight mentors and eight mentees.”

Eytan Salinger of Taos MEN said that similar to MEN’s mentorship, young women often need guidance.
