Super men: Taos MEN mentor local youth

Before Elias Montoya became a patrolman with New Mexico State Police, he was a devoted father — something he learned by example and is trying to pass on to young boys as a mentor with Taos Men Engaged in Nonviolence.
“My dad was a minister and things were expected of you. He taught me how to be responsible,” Montoya said of his late father.“If he can’t get something from his dad, I want to be the person he can have confidence in.”
