Family Health Initiative (Peñasco Clinic)
The Family Health Initiative is a program of Holy Cross Hospital Peñasco Rural Health Clinic. The mission of the Family Health Initiative is to improve the health and wellness of the people of Picuris Pueblo and its 16 surrounding villages, which makes up the Peñasco Independent School District. The clinic's services include resource, referral and navigation assistance, on-site state and federal program application assistance, the Jicarita Family Health Initiative, focused on the health of children 0-8 years of age, and food security efforts including a food bank and a youth gardening program.
